Dip the cartridge and the internal structure draws ink into the reservoir.
RETAIN
The reservoir holds more usable ink directly around the needle instead of letting it quickly drain away.
DELIVER
As the needle moves, it repeatedly accesses the retained ink, keeping ink available at the needle throughout the line.
