What Makes Spearhead Cartridges Different

Most tattoo cartridges look different on the outside, but work nearly the same on the inside. Spearhead Tattoo Equipment was built to change that.

Instead of rebranding existing designs or making small cosmetic updates, Spearhead cartridges were engineered from the inside out to solve the problems artists consistently complain about: needle wobble, ink spitting, pooling at the tip, vibration, and inconsistent performance.

Although Spearhead is a new brand, it’s backed by over 16 years of tattoo equipment engineering experience and multiple international patents. Our team rebuilt the cartridge system entirely, focusing on two core principles: clean application and stable performance.

Engineered for Stability

Spearhead cartridges feature dual V-shaped needle guides — one upper and one lower — that center the needle shaft with zero clearance. This eliminates side-to-side movement, reduces vibration, and keeps the needle tracking straight, even at higher speeds.

A banded stabilizing membrane applies controlled downward force, creating a familiar, rubber-band-like feel while reducing rattle and improving control throughout the session.

Designed for Cleaner Ink Flow

Ink control is just as important as stability. Spearhead cartridges use a patented ink regulation system, including a precisely sized capillary hole near the tip and a slender needle nozzle. Together, these features regulate ink pressure, helping prevent ink pooling, splatter, and ink dumping during needle retraction.

Artists experience cleaner skin, less wiping, fewer ink dips, and more consistent ink delivery.

Built for Consistency

Spearhead cartridges are produced in our own dedicated factory, operated directly by our engineering team. This gives us full control over materials, tolerances, alignment, and quality consistency — reducing the batch-to-batch variation common in many cartridges.

Built With Artists

Spearhead is tested and refined with real tattoo artists, and honest feedback is encouraged. We don’t believe in forced hype or scripted reviews — only tools that perform consistently in real tattoo sessions.

Spearhead exists for artists who care about cleaner lines, better control, and cartridges engineered with intention.
